POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Catholic Relief Serivces(CRS), an international humanitarian and development organization based in Yaoundé is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Project Accountant for a UNHCR funded project(2014-2015); She/he will focus on finance & budget management, timely donor reporting, contracts for facilities, capacity building, develop accountable systems to facilitate provision of primary health care services to refugee populations in Yaoundé and Douala.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project funds;
• Develop financial and budget management tools and ensure budget control for efficient use of project funds;
• Coordinate the preparation and submissionof timely reports to donor and management;
• Assess and develop training modules to strenghten financial capacity of the facilities;
• Prepare agreement with facilities;
• Validate of bills from facilities;
• Follow-up visits to facilities;
• Ensurre compliance of agency and donor policies in the financial management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years experience in succefull project financial management;
• Bachelor degree in accounts or related field required;
• Understanding of rules and regulations related to UNHCR funding, subcontracting and reporting requirements; advantageous
• Demonstrated skills in financial analysis and budget management;
• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English and French is required;
