OPPORTUNITY: Communication officer (Unpaid volunteers)

The Mentor’s Foundation was founded by a team of 9 educational stakeholders to promote education and professionalization among the vulnerable population. Its membership has grown to 31.  It  also focus on building youth for voluntarism in addressing environmental challenges and helping communities and the less privilege in achieving other  sustainable development goals. Although founded in 2014, it was only legalise in 2016. 

Our growing organisation is looking for a Communications Officer to create and implement communications strategies that further our goals. As our Organisation expands, we’re in need of someone who can promote our work, interact with the public and establish productive relationships with key stakeholders and policymakers. Applicants should be excited about developing and implementing plans to engage target audiences.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in the communications sector or related fields, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preference will be given to those who also have experience and skills in websites and other social media communications. Applicants must be holder of First Degree in Communication, Journalism, public relations or other related social sciences. Prior experience in NGO would be an asset. The selected applicant will be expected to volunteer for 6 months.
