Plan is a children's organization with primary concerns on children rights, safety and well being and has in its interest to create safe environments for children with more attention paid to child protection. All employees are therefore expected to comply with our Child protection policy.

Plan Cameroon has been granted the opportunity to implement the Global Fund Project(malaria component). This project is divided in two phases of two years and three years respectively. The second phase has just started and will end on December 31st, 2015.

Plan Cameroon is seeking to recruit enthusiatic, development oriented and hard working Cameroonian to fulfill the task below:

Title: Driver

Period: 1st April 2014 to December 31st 2015

Duty Station: Bertoua with possibility to be transferred anywhere in Cameroon.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the authority of the administrative Coordinator, the Driver will among the following tasks:

• Ensure safety of the assigned vehicle and passengers while on mission;
• Drive Plan Staff, international visitors and cargo with authorized Mission Order and stocked first aid kit;
• keep a log of all movements of goods and passengers transported by the assigned vehicle;
• Respect speed limit within town and on the highway;

EDUCATION

• The applicant should have a BEPC or GCE Ordinary Level.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Excellent computer skills(Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, email, Internet);
• Basic knowledge in motors mechanics and a suitable and valid driving license category D with a minimum of 6 years experience in the public sector or NGOs
• Mature and have the capacity to work long hours: a common feature of the demanding NGO environment
• Polite, clean and healthy person who is willing to grasp Plan's general mission and objectives.
• Fluency in written and spoken English or French;
• Knowledge of another national language or Cameroon is an advantage.
