Key Responsibilities

• Job planning, Job completion reporting, Monitor and follow up of job progress.
• Documentation control, work schedules and over times per company internal rules.
• Skilled in all aspect of vehicle repairs and servicing including diagnostics and knowledge or electronics.
• Be capable and responsible for writing down the scope of work and the instructions to the workshop personnel and report all deviations with analysis and corrective action.
• Ensure that the given job is complete within the allocated time frame and budgeted cost.
• Update hierarchy/Technical Manager and other concerned personnel on the activities and progress of the job.
• Basic knowledge for class rules, international standards, etc. applicable in the department.
• Implement and monitor safety rules and regulations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the hierarchy/Technical Manager.

Developmental Activities

• Coordinate all related activities pertaining to testing, precommissioning and commissioning of equipment and machinery, investigate and recommend procedure to overcome quality defects.

Customers

• Ensure approval is obtained from the hierarchy for all alterations to the scope of the work as per the contract with estimated costs and impact on scheduling and progress. All additional work to be executed after approval from the hierarchy.

Documentation

• Completion and submission of all required documentation to support the activities including damage reports, repair procedures, quality tests and results, completion reports, additional work reports, etc.
• Assist in the approval and submission of time sheets, requisitions, hiring of man and machinery.

Personal Profile: Age: Over 35 years of age

Qualification: 

• Diploma/degree in mechanical engineering, 
• Experience of 5-15 years in automobile repairs and German auto technology,
• Wide range of experience in installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and service of mechanical systems, main propulsion, auxiliary systems, etc.
• Ability to technically and commercially interpret contracts or class rule and international standard requirement.
• Specialized knowledge/training for basis propulsion systems on varied manufactures and added advantage etc.
• Hands-on experience of working on engine overhaul, adjustment timing, etc.
