JOB ADVERT: PROGRAM MANAGER

Summary

Working directly under the supervision of the Country Director, the Program Coordinator(PC) will serve as the International Food Relief Partnership Program(IFRP) focal point for coordination, implementation and reporting with the goal of fostering Nascent's' national strategy. The PC will advise management on the evolution of national political, social and economic factors that impact the Project as well as Nascent's' focus areas. The PC will provide strategic guidance on how to continuously adapt the program to ensure that it remains coordinated and relevant, effective adn immediately takes advantage of windows of programming opportunities as they arive within the context of Nascent's' business development strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

The PC will work towards the implementation of Nascent Solutions' IFRP project in the South West region of Cameroon and ensure that all processes comply with existing international development regulations, and Nascent's' policies and procedures. S/he will work closely management and other technical staff to ensure adequate operational support to field level activities and oversee timely and compliant program execution. The PC will coordinate with both the Monitoring & Evaluation team and field technical staff to ensure that lessons learned are captured and incorporated region-wide.

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Overseeing the programmatic implementation and monitoring of each field activities in coordination with the local partner and stakeholders;
  • Support field procurement award processes to ensure that activity deliverables are achieved, including drafting scopes of work for service providers and implementing partners, evaluating and technical deliverables and setting deadlines to ensure on-time delivery of project outputs;
  • Monitor and reviewed the overall commodity movements such as food deliveries, storage, transport and distribution at the site and verified if the amounts received had been properly recorded, damaged or suspected to be damaged.
  • Conduct regular meetings with local administration, implementing partners and staff on the commodity pipeline, distribution arrangements, food entitlements and other relevant issues.
  • Provide periodic progress reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five(05) years professional experience working in complex and challenging field operational contexts;
  • University degree in sociology, education, political science, agro-economics, law, international development or other related social sciences field is required; Master's desired;
  • Prior experience with international development organizations, particularly food aid programs that have both national and community-level engagement is required;
  • Familiarity with policies and procedures in regard to financial management, financial reporting, procurement processes, systems and grants management at international organizations is required;
  • Willingness to travel as and when the need arises,
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communications capacity; and
  • Fluency in oral and written communication skills in both French and English language.About Nascent Solutions
