Job Vacancy

The North West Regional Fund for Health Promotion(NWRFHP), a public interest group (PIG) based in Bamenda needs the services of a Project Manager, and an Accountant to assist in the Performance Based Financing Project as from January, 2015. Below are the profiles for the two posts:

A: Project Manager

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine (or Similar Qualification) + Masters in Public Health.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Health projects.
• Good knowledge of the mechanism of the functioning of the health system in Cameroon.
• Good experience in the Health financing especially Performance based Financing (PBF).
• Skills in managing a Multi-disciplinary and multiracial team.
• Good mastery of the Ms Word and Excel, Adobe and Internet.
• Good knowledge of French and English (spoken and written).

Job Description

• Develop PBF training tools and Implementations manuals (Technical and financial).
• Organize PBF training of trainers for MOH staff and Project staff in the NW Region of Cameroon.
• Organize PBF training for the frontline health staff in the health facilities.
• Manage the whole PBF implantation process in the NW Region of Cameroon.

a. Drawing up the Business plans with health facilities.

b. Contracting with Health facilities (as health care providers).

c. Verification and validation of health facility production.

d. Health care quality assessment in health facilities (integrated health centres and hospitals).

e. Community verification of veracity of health facility production and community perception of quality of care.

f. Calculation and payment of subsidies to both the health facilities and regulators on a monthly basis.

g. Coaching to the district health services on general health system strengthening and PBF implantation according to Best Practices.

• Oversee general financial Management (budget forecasting, tracking, reporting etc.).
• Development of project reports.
