*RF Engineer in Douala, Cameroon* *ref: RSQ-NOD-201307002* *Responsibilities:* * Perform engineering tasks allowing to support the operation of the SATCOM Telephony Network, * Troubleshoot network outages by diagnosing all RF subsystems at any site in the network, characterizing, troubleshooting and mitigating any RF interference, * Interact with a service company if needed, for remote sites intervention, * Follow-up all service calls, troubleshooting ticket RF related, * Monitor all hub equipment and notifying the Network Engineers and Management of any problems. * Propose remedy to Network Engineer, through a packaged solution based on the maintenance agreed policies, * Escalate most difficult and time consuming of problems to the Network Engineer. * In association with other network technicians maintain the configurations of all hub equipment. * Monitor all hub and remote equipment and report any malfunctions to senior technical staff. * Familiarity with various RF and M&C software packages. * Typical working hours is daytime Monday to Friday. The RF Engineer shall coordinate the Technical efforts during a system outage. * Flexibility to work ad-hoc projects. *Minimum Qualifications* * Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience * Significant technical experience as a RF technician. * Must have strong knowledge of RF subsystems * VSAT Network Operation with MF-TDMA/TDMA satellite modems * Demonstrated ability to perform complex technical tasks and analysis. Capability of working independently as well as part of a team.
