Job Title: Microbiology lab Analyst

Reporting to: Laboratory & Supplier to Plant Supervisor, Guinness Cameroon S.A. (GCSA)

PURPOSE

• Carry out designated analyses of water, raw materials, process samples and finished products and evaluate the results against specifications.
• Document & communicate quality results and follow sampling plans, methods and procedures.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor Science Degree in Microbiology with at least 03 months lab experience / DUT Level in Food Technology Discipline with 01 year lab’s experience
• Microbiology Laboratory work experience

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As Microbiology lab Analyst you should be able to:

• Do analysis in accordance with micro sampling plans and work procedures and provide accurate and timely results
• Propagate yeast
• Prepare cultured media for infection control, do aseptic sampling and plating on the media
• Document and evaluate quality results, run reports, summaries and graphs
• Do Preventive Maintenance and calibrate specific equipment in the Micro Lab as per schedule
• Ensure  safety and cleanliness of immediate work area and Laboratory environment in accordance with the Diageo Way of Brewing guidelines
• Proactively give feedback of quality results to respective users, follow up corrective actions and support Quality improvement activities and initiatives.
• Strong lT skills base, including mastery in Excel & PowerPoint
