We are looking to recruit the following position.

Program officer for Cameroon, Chad and CAR

Location: Yaoundé, Cameroon

contract Duration: 2 years

Contract Start: November 2015

Objective: under the supervision of the country coordinator in Cameroon ensure that supported programs and plans in the sub region are aligned to CBM’s mandate and program priorities and fit local context.

Profile and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree level or above in project management or relevant field;
• Experience in development sector;
• At least 3 years’ experience in project management including aspects of identification of new project ideas, project design, proposal development, budgeting, evaluation and documentation;
• Ability to build harmonious and productive relationships internally and externally with donors and with other development actors (INGOs, government, local authorities);
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of project cycle management;
• Experience (or demonstrable interest) in building capacity of projects and partners;
• Good command of English and French (both written and verbal);
• Able to work under minimal supervision;
• Able to follow through on a task until completion on their own;
• Able to integrate and work in a cross-cultural environment;
• Computer literate, experience in common Microsoft Packages ( word, PowerPoint and Excel);
• Willingness to travel on short notice.
