CARE USA through CARE-Cameroon serves as the prime for the cooperative agreement for the five-year USAID-funded project : continuunn or prevention, care, and treatment (CoPCT) for HIV/AIDS with most-at-risk populations (CHAMP-Cameroon), in partnerchips with johns hopkins university (JHU) and Global viral (GV) together, the consortium is collaborating with the national aids control committee, the ministry of Health, communiity-based organization (CBOs) and other stakeholders to build the capacity of the national, regional and community response? CHAMP has the following objectives: (1) technical competence of partners in key populations program design & management and service delivery for increased CoPCT, (2) enabling environment and (3) quality assurance/quality improvement, and monitoring & evaluation systems? CARE Cameroon is seeking experienced, motivated, and committed individuals to serve as part of the CHAMP team.

POSITION/TITLE: Training Specialist for quality care National Coordinator Yaoundé

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

• Oversee the training and capacity building of provider for clinical care and treatment
• Coordinate the logistics needed for successful completion of the trainings
• Help monitor quality services through the follow up of SOP and tools developed implementation
• Non-stigmatizing service provision through regular visits, on-site supervision and feel back from clients;
• Work in close collaboration with the National Expert on Care and Treatment-Referral, Linkage and Retention to ensure that clients are effectively linked to quality care and retained within the network
• Coordinate the collection and documentation of the trainings for research purposes and report progress.
• Provide support to the research staff to facilitate ongoing progress toward project goals and to ensure quality of work
• The successful candidate will have a proven record in technical leadership, interpersonal skills, strategic vision, teamwork and programming experience.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School is required. Completion of a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Care Administration or related field with significant field experience is preferred.
• 5 years of experience implementation HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs in Cameroon or in Central/Western Africa, preferably with a focus on key populations.
• Flexible willing to travel to different locations
• Written and oral fluency in French and English is required.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
