JOB ADVERT: FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPER

Description

Front-end Web Developer possesses experience in design and developing websites and/or web applications. Candidates will have knowledge and experience in developing custom features and functionality on PHP or JAVA platforms. This position is an integral part of the YooMee Online team and will be involved in a variety of interesting and challenging projects which will grow the online business.

Key Responsibilities

• Heads the overall quality, innovation, and creative vision of our organization or client's websites.
• Leads developing and executing unique organization or client website designs, new product designs, e-mail marketing designs, and internal marketing projects. 
• Designs web interfaces using techniques based on usability theory, navigational structure, and concepts related to creating visual flow. 
• Provides direction and leadership to other resources where appropriate. Manages the look and functionality of the website.
• Integrates business requirements into design strategies, interaction, and visual solutions or designs based on marketing objectives and strategic rationale. 
• Consults with other senior team members to produce design projects, internal marketing campaigns, and identify new innovations and opportunities in the online e-commerce and marketing industry
• Contributes to the innovative development of products and services that are cutting edge in the industry. 
• Writes and proofs copy for strength and consistency of product or service. Fosters an environment of professional growth. 
• Work closely with e-Commerce stakeholders and web development team on developing custom web applications, mobile storefront and micro-sites
• Collaborate with the back-end developers on translating visual and written designs based on business and functional requirements into efficient frontend components (HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
• Work closely with back-end developers to ensure the integrity of the UI throughout the development life cycle
• Apply front-end design patterns, trends and best practices to ensure sites with optimal speed and cross-browsers compatible and high usability 

Required Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years as a front-end developer or related work experience.
• A strong appreciation for the importance of usability in web applications.
• Knowledge of current front-end design patterns and best practices.
• Extensive knowledge with latest JavaScript Technology (jQuery, Backbone, RequireJs, AngulaJS, Modernizr, JSLint or similar JavaScript libraries)
• Experience with Responsive Design
• Expert level expertise in HTML, JavaScript and CSS including cross-browser compatibility
• Experience with source code control systems (Subversion, Git)
• Familiarity with CSS/JavaScript code quality tools
