Job Description

As an Infrastructure Developer at VAIRIFIED you are responsible of designing and implementing infrastructure for delivering and running software services. This involves hands-on involvement in building deployment and testing pipelines, automated provisioning of cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure support services such as monitoring. Watching out for performance bottlenecks and scaling pitfalls are all within the realms of an Infrastructure Developer. In addition to technical skills, we also need excellent coaches so your patience and a desire to take others along with you is absolutely key. If this sounds appealing then we want to talk to you!

Key Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps system administration experience. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical and business vision.
• Experience in an internet customer-facing environment.
• Ability to recognize technical needs and recommend suitable technologies.
• Bachelor of Science (computer science) with outstanding record.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement the infrastructure for building, testing, deploying, tuning, and troubleshooting our engineering team’s production and development systems
• Advise the development team on best practices throughout the design process of their applications, to ensure that they can be delivered to manageable and highly available production environments
• Helps team in automate delivery pipeline including but not limited to Server virtualization (Vagrant etc.)
• Design and manage our monitoring/alerting systems

Skills

• Significant experience with AWS and other cloud services. 
• Maintain, review and backup system components
• Develop and implement high-quality security concepts
• Scripting and programming languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell, etc.)
• Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Travis-CI)
• Experience administering application servers, web servers, and databases (Tomcat, Nginx, Microsoft IIS, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Strong experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN
