Lecturer Positions at The ICT University- Cameroon Campus

The ICT University is looking for qualified full time instructors.

ONLY THOSE INTERESTED IN FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT SHOULD APPLY. WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR PART TIME LECTURERS AT THIS TIME AND APPLICATIONS FOR SUCH WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT WITH THE ICT UNIVERSITY ASSUMES THE APPLICANT PLANS TO NOT HAVE EMPLOYMENT OUTSIDE THE ICT UNIVERSITY. ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE OK WITH THE ABOVE CONDITIONS.

Lecturers are needed in the following departments:

• ICT/ Computer Science Department
• Management Department

He/ she shall be responsible for the administration of the Department and the execution of teaching and research programmes. He shall specially be responsible for but not limited to:

• Convening the meeting of departmental academic staff;
• Liaison between the Department and other administrative and academic organs of the University;
• Presenting an annual report on the activities of the Department to the Faculty board;
• Following up of teaching and research activities; involvement in both individual and collective research work;
• Assisting in the organization of examinations; presiding over examination panels or taking part in them;
• Assisting in the coordination of seminars, workshops, conferences and publications
• facilitating and coordinating one or more units of training and research;
• teaching within one or more areas of specialization;
• supervision and orientation of students and their work;
• facilitation of refresher courses and work intended to improve on quality of staff.
• take part in several meetings, units and commissions of university institutions as stipulated by regulations in force.
• organize and teach tutorials, exercises and practicals, participate in examination Juries.
• perform pedagogic and research functions under the direction of the Provost and Department Chair.
• Supervision of theses or dissertations;

Qualifications:

PhD in ICT/ Computer Science, Management, Engineering or Related field. Masters candidates will be considered.

Each Lecturer of the Higher Education corps is required to show assiduity, punctuality and effective presence within his/her establishment, in order to perform the functions of teaching, research and supervision of students.

Work experience is a plus.
