The Africa Nova Center for Democracy is a local Ngo that is working to promote good governance and Democracy in Africa. This organization is looking for 10 article contributors in its development magazine, who will be based in their regions in time of their application and will be in charge of writing articles about events in their regions

Position: Magazine contributors

Position Summary

The 10 article contributors will be based in all the 10 regions of the country and this position is purely voluntary. These volunteers will be in charge of writing articles and stories in the following areas of interest

  • Development projects
  • Governance ( corruption, accountability, Transparency etc)
  • Best practices
  • Women leading change in their community( Economic, social, political and cultural)
  • Youth leading change ( Economic, social, political and cultural)
  • Local and international works of NGO’S
  • Great innovations
  • Government interventions
  • Council development

Contributors will send their articles to the project Coordinator; each story will have the name of the writer. Article contributors will benefit from national and international trainings. Contributors should write their articles in their first language (English or French).

Primary Responsibility

  • Write articles to its development magazines.
  • Send pictures where needed
  • Any other duties and task as needed and assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • An HND or degree in communication
  • Ability to write logically
  • Ability to think out of the box
  • Prowess in writing
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills and networking abilities
  • Proficient at using Microsoft office software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Experience in working on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter etc)
