The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 15 countries and at over 5,500 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children, and to help those already infected. Today, because of the highly successful work of the Foundation and its partners, pediatric AIDS has been virtually eliminated in the United States. With a growing global staff of over 1,000—nine of 10 who work in the field—the Foundation’s global mission is to implement HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs; further advance innovative research; and to execute strategic and targeted global advocacy activities to bring dramatic change to the lives of millions of women, children, and families worldwide. 

EGPAF Cameroon is seeking suitably qualified persons able to fill the position Service Delivery Advisor in the HIV Free project implemented in the Centre Region. The overarching goal of the program is to support health facilities, to deliver enhanced, integrated high impact package of sustainable HIV prevention and treatment services for the achievement of HIV epidemic control (the 90:90:90 goals).

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Service Delivery Advisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation and monitoring of facility based health services including HTS, HIV Care and treatment, TB, PMTCT, Lab., QI/QC at the EGPAF- Cameroon supported site.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the Service delivery core team of senior project Technical Advisors and ensure effective collaboration, teamwork and collegiality.
• Provide technical leadership in the implementation of the service delivery component of the project.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of the project work-plans
• Supervise and coordinate the program Technical Advisors- Care and Treatment, TB PMTCT, Lab., HTS/prevention and QI/QC,
• Oversee the integration of the project’s specialized technical approaches for the achievement of successful project implementation using the state of the art approaches and best practices
• Support in creating and strengthening linkages and networks between facility and community activities
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and other reports as may be required
• Collaborate with the other project Team Leaders in harnessing overall integration of the project
• Coordinate with the other collaborating implementing partners to maximize synergies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Medical Doctor with MPH or other master’s degree in a medical field.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience providing senior project management to health service delivery in HIV projects
• Hands on clinical experience in HIV
• Proven experience and familiarity with MOH and devolved health systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills, capable of directing and managing change, and inspiring teamwork and motivating staff and partners to achieve results.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and French
• Currently reside in, or be willing to temporarily relocate to Yaoundé, Cameroon for the duration of the contract period
