EMPLOYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture(IITA)-Cameroun

IITA-Cameroon is seeking two(02) highly motivted and experienced individuals(Research Assistant and Field Technician) to be based in Buea for research and training on plantain production management in the Mount Cameroon Region.

The Research Assistant is expected to have the following qualifications:

1. Broad knowledge of plantain agronomy and production including pest, disease, and soil fertility management;
2. Substancial experience in plantain macro propagation;
3. Excelent communication, organizational, record keeping, and reporting skills;
4. Fluency in English and a working knowledge of French
5. Excellet knowledge and experience in using personal computers.

The Field Technician will work closely with the Research Assistant and possess the same qualifications in terms of plantain agronomy and macropropagation.

The initial appointment is for two years, renewable depending on availability of funding.
