Job title: Field Service Engineer, Multi-Modality / Multi-Vendor
Job Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs and installations following Quality System Regulation (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
- Resolve technical equipment failures through phone support and on-site customer visits.
- Complete preventive maintenance and functional management inspections.
- Maintain customer service logs and internal service records per the company policies.
- Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure calibration.
- Order and manage repair parts cycle times.
- Meet health and human services and environment health and safety requirements.
- Manage vendor’s service delivery processes in compliance with the company policies.
- Utilize the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving.
- Participate in sales opportunities such as service contract negotiations and renewals.
- Assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs.
- Fulfill the annual multiple modality systems training requirements.
- Maintain daily communication with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up of their issues, leading to 100% customer satisfaction.
- Interface with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process.
- Open to domestic and international travels.
Desired skills and experience
- 3 years + experience troubleshooting and performing repair services on mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment (medical imaging equipment preferred).
- Master’s degree preferred (Bachelor’s degree required): biomedical, electrical, or computer engineering.
- Strong Physics and Electronics background.
- Excellent customer skills that include building trust and communicating complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
- Work productively under pressure. Maintain positive outlook at work. Handle criticism well and learn from it.
- Keep up-to-date with competitor information and market trends. Identify business opportunities for the company. Demonstrate financial awareness.
