JOB ADVERT: Business Development Manager - Cameroon

Are you looking to join a technology start up with a disruptive product? At Simplex, we are changing the way the world shops online. Simplex is a web service for aggregating orders and optimizing their distribution. We automate product purchases and distribution – completely eliminating the overhead of acquiring customers, and managing delivery. We enable sellers to increase revenue, while saving buyers money. We are looking for an entrepreneurial business development manager to be based in Yaounde or Douala.

The ideal candidate will be able to grow into the position of the executive director for our Cameroonian subsidiary.

Primary Responsibilities

• Visit and talk to vendors to sign them up.
• Assist vendors with registering their items, report problems and insure problems have been logged in our system for resolution.
• Drive up buyers to go to buy.
• Monitor buyer/vendor satisfaction: monitor and update twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts, refer buyers to use those for complaints, praises, and comments. Make sure we take corrective actions.
• Sign up couriers, and assist them with usage the same as with vendors.
• Responsible for recruiting and hiring employees, and overseeing their activities

• Attention to details, listening and understanding customer needs
• Passion for web technologies
• Ability to always be on time for meetings, visits and telephone calls
• Strong presentation skills
• Fast learner
• Self-starter individual with excellent organisational skills
• Excellent English skills – both verbal and written

We offer an attractive compensation package which initially consists of commissions and shares.
