JOB ADVERT: Business Development Officer - iCi.cm
YooMee Africa, a Swiss company operating broadband wireless networks in sub Saharan Africa, is looking for a Business Development Officer for its Innovative startup online City Guide Project in Cameroon iCi.cm. The company has fast growing operations in Cameroon and is expanding to additional countries in sub-Saharan Africa. It is backed by experienced entrepreneurs and strong financial investors.
Requirements:
- The Business Development Officer will be in charge of improving iCi.cm market position and achieve financial growth of the Project.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Build and develop partnerships, such as content partner, online payment mechanisms, marketing partners and any other that can help to meet the company KPIs
- Plan approaches and pitches
Business Development Planning
- Develop project brand and image on the Cameroonian market
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and communication channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Using knowledge of the market, identify and improve the project’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Management and Research
- Effectively manage daily project operational duties – data collection, content management, online and offline marketing, development of technology platform.
- Report regularly on project progress, as per company KPIs
- Manage and coach the project team, enforce company procedures
- Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company’s performance.
Candidate Profile
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Sales, marketing or Information technology.
- Experience in managing complex, multi-parameter fast growing projects
- Motivation for sales and prospecting skills.
- Good understanding of technology, online platforms
- Experience with managing product catalogs, pricing strategies
- Strong understanding of the Cameroonian online and consumer market
- University degree

LOCATION: Douala with up to 50% out of the office travel.
