JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: English Language Teacher

HOURS: Full Time

REPORTS TO: Director of Studies

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Teacher of English to start ASAP on a full time basis. The teaching centre in Douala has an excellent reputation among our target customers and the maintenance of this reputation is critical to future growth.

To be considered for this post you must have at least a first degree/or equivalent. Speaking proficiency will also be checked during interview.

Responsibilities

• To use continuous improvement process and tools to make interactive lessons
• To prepare courses for students including lesson plans, classroom activities
• To draft reports and presentations on the improvement of student learning when required
• To undertake any other related duties as requested by the Director of Studies

Required qualities:

1. Candidate who can teach both General English and IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC programmes will be preferable
2. Minimum 1-2 year(s) practice as a teacher at courses, whose students' IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC score and results are high
3. Experience in teaching either ILETS/ TOEFL/TOEIC
4. Knowledge of current trends and developments in language teaching methodology
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
6. Pedagogical ability
7. Native Speaker of English
8. To apply different methods for the improvement of students
9. The efficiency of innovation
10. Good intercourse, relation and ability to work in a team
