Plan Cameroon is in the process of acquiring a grant from the World Food Program(WFP) for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities relating to  the management of Moderate Acute Malnutrition(MAM) in the East, North and Far-North regions. Within this framework we are looking for potential Cameroonian candidates for one year duration renewable contract to fulfill the positions below:

NB: Awarding employment contracts to selected candidates will depend on the final agreement on the grant with the donor.

Title: (03) Program Unit Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant, Supplementary Feeding Program(SFP).

Duty Station: Bertoua, Garoua and Maroua with a possibility to be transferred anywhere in Cameroon.

Main responsabilities and Responsibilities

Under the authority of the Program Unit Monitoring & Evaluation, the Program Unit Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant will among other tasks perform the following:

  • Assist in the development of the project Monitoring and Evaluation plan and its effective and efficient implementation;
  • Ensure the implementing partners at local level(Health Areas) understand and implement the newly updated National protocol for the management of acute malnutrition;
  • Ensure that the log frame performance and impact indicators are well understood by the team;
  • Identify data sources for capturing project performance and impact indicators, in conjunction with the project team;
  • Ensure that the purpose of the M&E framework is being achieved and enabling decision-making on the project progression and development;
  • Assist in the drafting of monthly reports;
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of database for SFP;
  • Draft regular M&E project reports and assist in the preparation of project monthly reports. 
  • Ensure proper respect of administrative and finance operations procedures
  • provide support to improve monitoring and reporting mechanism through revised monitoring and reporting framework, through collaboration with the National M&E Coordinator at the country office(CO) level;

Qualification and Experience

  • University degree in Social Science, Statistics or related courses
  • At least two(02) years of experience in working for a reputable international humanitarian and development organization.
  • Participatory monitoring and evaluation, and developing community development projects

Skills and Behaviour

  • Knowledge on the food assistance and nutrition
  • Extensive knowledge of emergency nutrition work, design and implementation of feeding projects including monitoring and evaluation
  • Knowledge and experience in a range of participatory and child/gender sensitive approaches.
  • Extensive knowledge of nutrition issues in the East, North and Far-North regions.
