Plan Cameroon is in the process of acquiring a grant from the World Food Program(WFP) for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities relating to  the management of Moderate Acute Malnutrition(MAM) in the East, North and Far-North regions. Within this framework we are looking for potential Cameroonian candidates for one year duration renewable contract to fulfill the positions below:

NB: Awarding employment contracts to selected candidates will depend on the final agreement on the grant with the donor.

Title: (03)Logistician Assistant for the Supplementary Feeding Program(SFP).

Duty Station: Bertoua, Garoua and Maroua with a possibility to be transferred anywhere in Cameroon.

Main responsabilities and Responsibilities

Under the authority of the PU Project Coordinator, the Logistician Assistant will among other tasks perform the following:

• Ensure that the warehouses at the regional level, at the Health districts and at the Health areas are suited for proper and safe storage of Foods and NFIs;
• Ensure proper warehouse documentation is prepared and issuance procedures followed in the warehouse
• Coordinate loading and offloading ensuring optimum utilization of storage space and prompt/smooth daily warehouse operation and recommend actions for improvement;
• Conducts regular inspection of commodities under storage and reports any anomalities.
• Initiate inventories and consolidate weekly warehouse inventory reports on food and non-food items and ensure that all established warehouse internal control mechanisms are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained in accordance to warehouse management principles;
• Follow up the movement of food and non-food items for the projects and operations
• Ensure Monthly Physical Inventory conducted in all warehouses. The Physical inventory should be reconcilied and discrepancies rectified in the shortest time possible
• Ensure utilization of documents validated by WFP for all warehouse transactions as per WFP rules and regulations(waybills, LTI, stock reports, loss reports, etc.)
• Facilitate regular visits to stores with the partner WFP in order to ensure conformity with regulations for storage of food and non-food items

Qualification and Experience

• University degree in logistics, transport, shipping, law or other field relevant to the management of warehouses and commodities flow
• Three years of progressively responsible support experience including at least one year in the field of accounting, transport, insurance, statistics, operations or another related fields and distribution management.
