Within the context of emergency Response to Refugees from Central Africa Republic Plan Cameroon is urgently seeking to recruit an experienced, humanitarian-oriented and hardworking Cameroonian for six(06) months duration to fulfill the position of Country Human Resources Assistant in Emergency.

Title: Country Human Resources Assistant in Emergency(CHRA)

Duty Station: Yaoundé

Purpose of the Role: To assist the Country Human Resources Manager in the implementation of Human Resources systems, procedures and a wide variety of Human Resources functions for the organization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Country Human Resources Managers, the CHRA will among other tasks perform the following:

  • Provide support in staff recruitement activities;
  • Control the operation of the Human Resources Information System;
  • Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of staff training and development programs;
  • Support in managing staff appraisals;
  • Manager the updating of all staff files;
  • Support in conducting employee morale surveys to advise management on appropriate change management interventions;
  • Manager staff leave records;
  • Monitor HR annual budget;
  • Ensure adherence to HR policy and practices, consistent with global policy and compliant with local statutory and legislative requirements;
  • Ensure gender mainstreaming and maintain gender sensitivity towards staff and Plan associate;
  • Fulfill Plan's Child Protection Policy at all times;
  • Maintain and update a summary of the labour law for quick reference in supporting staff understanding and compliance;
  • Administer employee orientation/induction and other learning programmes and make recommandations for necessary changes;

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent;
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an HR generalist role or administration;
  • Good written and/or spoken English language.
