within the context of Emergency Response to Refugees from Centra Africa Republic Plan Cameroon is urgently seeking to recruit experienced, enthusiastic, humanitarian-oriented and hardworking Cameroonian for six months duration to fulfill the positions below. While funding is only guaranteed for 6 months at the point of advertising, Plan is seeking longer-term funding and the operations in the East and Adamawa Regions will be operating for much longer than 6 months.

Title: Driver to CAR Refugees-UNICEF

Duty Station: Bertoua

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the authority of the Logistician, the Driver will among other tasks perform the following tasks:

• Drive the assigned vehicle and ensure proper maintenance.
• Ensure safety of the assigned vehicle and passengers while on mission,
• Refuel the assigned vehicle accurately, ensure its safety and passengers on board,
• Keep a log of all movements of goods and passengers transported,
• Comply with and enforce Plan vehicle use and accident reporting policy,
• Submit timely Accident reports and monthly vehicle monitoring reports accurately,
• Delivery supplies and materials to various locations within the area,
• Observe, note and signal when servicing or repairs in necessary or due,
• Assigned vehicle maintained and cleaned daily within the first hour upon report to office, reports on accident are accurately submitted within 24 hours,
• Monthly vehicle monitoring reports accurately accomplished and submitted on the first week of the following month using the standard office Form,

Qualification and Experience

• Have a BEPC or GCE Ordinary level. or an equivalent.
• A valid driving licence category D.
• Minimum two(2) years relevant experience

Skills & Behaviours

• Basic knowledge on mechanic
• Be polite, neat, punctual, reliable, healthy and oriented.

Physical environments and demands

• Frequent travels
