ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
HR & Systems Ltd is in search of an Assistant Accountant who is able to perform the following responsibilities:
Qualifications Skills & Requirements
- You need to be able to communicate both orally and in writing.
- They need to be able to file information accurately, keep records confidential, type effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Post figures to ledgers and documents, reconcile balance amounts, resolve miscalculations and analyze information and documents collected for claims.
- Maintains and makes necessary adjustments to various records and/or logs such as journals, payroll/ time reports, or property records.
- Sorts documents and posts debits/credits to proper account. Balances entries and makes necessary corrections.
- Reconciles simple bank statements or department records.
- Prepares forms or encodes materials for data input.
- Prepares or checks invoices, requisitions and other documents for processing; encodes and obtains approval when necessary.
- Perform clerical duties such as sorting mail, filing and typing, operates variety of general office equipment.
Qualifications/Skills and Requirements:
- 1 year clerical/accounting related experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- BAAC/A-L + 1 in Accounting.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles.
- Knowledge of basic business math.
- Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Word.
- Skill in maintaining accounting or bookkeeping records.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Can work under unfavorable conditions.
- Can at least speak English and French.
