Job Title : E-Commerce SALES ASSOCIATE

General Purpose : To assist customers in finding and purchasing the required merchandise in a retail environment. To encourage customers to purchase products. 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Welcome customers
• Find out the customer's needs
• Recommend, select and help locate the right merchandise
• Assist shoppers locate the products and goods they desire
• Answer customer queries regarding the store and the merchandise
• Make suggestions and encourage purchase of products
• Provide information about warranties, manufacturing specifications, care and maintenance of merchandise and delivery options
• Receive and process cash, check cards and charge/credit payments
• Provide change and receipts
• Bag or package purchases
• Maintain sales records
• Place special orders
• Stay current with sales prices
• Look out for shoplifters; responsible for security within the store as well as watching out for fraudulent credit cards etc.
• Arrange and display merchandise
• Keep the store clean and tidy; this includes mopping and hovering
• Take stock inventory / Requisition new stock
• Participate in stock management and control
• Stock shelves with goods
• Work within established guidelines with brands
• Attach price tags to merchandise
• Receive and store stock.

Education and Experience

• Minimum HND or BTS Minimum in Communication/Trade/Marketing/Sales
• Knowledge on IT and MS Office tools
• Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
• Knowledge of sales principles
• Relevant product knowledge and training
• Experience in a retail, customer service or sales environment
• Basic business administration knowledge
