Role summary

The Digital Product Coordinator is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Digital Product Coordinator’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

The Digital Product Coordinator is expected to:

  • Support the product strategy and roadmap: Under the CEO’s instructions and in collaboration with other team members, coordinate the product development process throughout the product lifecycle, from idea collection and requirements phase through to the go-to-market execution and subsequent product management and maintenance
  • Contribute towards initiating change to continually improve all aspects of service delivery
  • Support the evaluation of strategic opportunities for product/ service and technology in the Data Stream Recommend or implement ways to exploit new opportunities to grow the business further
  • Support the in depth product and market knowledge documentation and strategies
  • Assist in identifying and assessing market trends, taking local conditions into consideration
  • Deliver Market Requirement Document / Technical Requirements / Deliver appropriate documentation including Product concept documents, Business
  • Requirements Specification, business cases or any pproduct Required documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification and process maps
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities,
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
  • Provide input into product/ Service scoping
  • Continually improve existing processes and procedures to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and performance
  • Provide Input into the short-term plan (3 months-1 year) for the unit and business plan
  • Support the evaluation of strategic opportunities for product/ service and technology in the Data stream
  • Recommend ways to exploit new opportunities to grow the business further
  • Assist in identifying and assessing market trends, taking local conditions into consideration
  • Understand customer needs and input into the development and fine-tuning of systems accordingly
  • Contribute towards initiating change to continually improve all aspects of product and related service delivery
  • Support expertise to assess the market competition
  • Act as a leader within the company for the product
  • Take part in media campaigns such as TV shows to talk about our products and any upcoming product development.
  • Carry out an analysis on sales performance every mid-week as well monthly to be presented to top management.
  • Assist in launching new products into existing and new markets

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a technology entrepreneur
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • 3+ years of experience in a job in the local market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Preference for international work experience or working in a high demand international and multicultural organization
  • High degrees of creativity, work ethic, and commitment to meeting and exceeding deadline
  • Customer obsessions
  • Speed of execution
  • Experience in cold calling and cold selling a variety of technical and business products to individuals, small businesses and larger enterprises
  • Technical background, with experience in launching a technical product
  • Excellent team work skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel 80% of the time
  • Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
