Contracts & Procurement Analyst

Glencore, as part of its growing operations, is looking for a motivated, efficient, proactive and experienced Contracts & Procurement Analyst on a contract position, leading potentially to permanent opportunity in Douala.

The Contracts & Procurement Analyst will assist and support the C&P Manager in providing a robust C&P service to company's operations in Cameroon, adhere to high standards, which are in line with best contracting, procurement and supply chain management practice and ensure compliance with company's standards and ethics.

General responsibilities will include:

• General procurement and contract coordinator duties
• Tender processes for the purchase of materials and services
• Use of electronic software for Procurement and Contract Call Offs
• Follow-up activities on Material deliveries, expediting of pending order deliveries
• Monitor the progress of active transactions and conduct service quality assessments at the end of each contract
• Monitor the progress of issued requests until they are transformed into POs and issued to suppliers
• Monitor the progress of the orders until the products and/or services are received and invoiced
• Monitor the flow, follow up of validated invoices and payment to Contractors
• Provide Daily/Weekly/Monthly report of activities
• Database maintenance analysis and management
• Participate in Service quality meetings, correspondences and relations with internal users and external suppliers
• Monitoring/tracking and doing gap analysis on the agreed Key Performance Indicators(KPIs)
• Providing feedback on KPIs to key vendors on a regular basis, and developping/agreeing action plans
• Compile a regular Spend analysis

Necessary qualification and experience

• Graduate Degree qualification (law, economics, engineering, finance preferred)
• Relevant experience in contracts and procurement of oilfield equipment and services preferably five(5) years plus in a similar role
• Detailed working knowledge of P2P or Asset Management systems(beneficial although not essential)
• Excellent Microsoft office skills
• Excellent communication skills including high standard of written and spoken English and French languages.
