Position: Driver (3)

Reporting to: Project manager

Introduction

Nascent Solutions, Inc. (Nascent) is an international humanitarian and development non-profit organization founded in 2004. The mission of the organization is to build capacity for vulnerable people, especially women and youth in rural Africa for self-sufficiency.

Nascent is seeking experienced and responsible drivers to support the implementation of a UNHCR funded program, designed to prevent Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) among refugee populations in the Adamaoua and East regions of Cameroon.

Specific areas of responsibility include:

1. Ensure the cleanliness and technical functioning of the vehicles.
2. Ensure security of vehicles during out stations trips
3. a Good understanding and compliance to highway code and responsible driving ethic
4. Ensure routine maintenance of the vehicles
5. Fill in vehicle log book on a daily basis
6. Provide monthly report on state of vehicle
7. Respect Cameroonian driving laws and regulations
8. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A FirstSchool Leaving Certificate
• Holder of Category B or D driver licence
• At least three (5) years experience in the same position
• Experience with international NGOs
• Respectful and Honest
• Excellent organizational skills/ Proactive/ dependable
• Good knowledge of English and French
